The team of eight provide quotes, assist with project management of large designs, and provide advice on suitable materials and construction methods for the tropics.
We provide detailed plans and shop drawings to help builders interpret and work with architectural plans. Our job is to take your plans and make the construction stage accurate and straightforward by providing complete drawings. Positioning critical components such as hold-down bolts for wall frames is quick and easy with our shop drawings.

The various truss designs produced by the Nortruss Technical Department are approved by Multinail (Australia) Pty Ltd, which provides analysis, design and engineering back-up.
Modern technology and equipment, and the latest computerised software, makes it easy to design everything from simple gable trusses to complicated hip roofs. Low to high pitched roofs with vaulted ceilings are also readily designed and manufactured.
Floor trusses or ‘steel wood joists’, as they are known, are extremely popular in the southern states and gaining in popularity in the Territory. These floor trusses can be made on the third manufacturing line in Nortruss’s new production facility.
These steel wood joists are based on a flat truss design. This allows enormous span capabilities for floor and roofing concepts and provides a greater clear room area, eliminating the use of normal posts and beams.
